PageA knight first started off as a page at about the age of 7, they worked in the castle. They also learned horsemanship, archery, and sword-fighting.

SquireA page would the become a squire between the ages of 10 - 14. They would clean the stables, polish the knight’s armour and prepare the weapons, a squire learned the codes of knightly conduct and stories about famous knights and did more combat practice.

KnightAt the age of 21, a squire makes the vows of allegiance to their liege lord and they become a knight

Clothing• Hauberk: a chain mail shirt
• Helmet: a metal covering for the head • Gauntlet: a glove made of fabric, leather, chain mail, or plate • Plate armour: there were many different types, but the fanciest types of plate armour completely covered the knight and had jointed elbows and knees • Greaves: armour that protects the leg. Half-greaves only protect the lower leg. They were made from fabric, leather, or metal • Barding: metal plating for their horses • Parade armour: not used for fighting, parade armour was made to impress the ladies and their fellow knights |
