Peasants For breakfast, a peasant would have dark bread and ale. Breakfast was usually had at sunrise so the workers could get to work for the day. At lunch around 12 they would have dark bread again and some cheese, if lucky they had some meat. They would also have some ale. Dinner would be eaten when all the workers of the family came home. They had vegetable pottage with bread and ale if lucky they might have some meat or fish.

LordsLords had more exquisite food. Between 6 - 7 they had breakfast this consisted of up to 3 meat dishes and 3 fish dishes (they had more saint’s day). It would be enjoyed with wine or ale. Lunch was eaten anytime between 11 - 2 in the afternoon. They would have had around 3 courses but each course could have up 4 - 6 plates of food. It would be a selection of meats, fishes, wine and ale and some boiled fruit at the end. Dinner was eaten between 6 - 7 in the evening theses dishes were more unusual for example pigeon pie, woodcock and sturgeon, they would also have bread, wine and ale.
